Job summary

CEVA Logistics seeks a Project Coordinator in Melbourne to support delivery of complex project cargo across energy, infrastructure and industrial sectors. Based at the Melbourne Airport VIC office, you will coordinate planning, documentation and execution for heavy-lift and OOG movements across multimodal supply chains.

You will work with engineering, procurement and HSE teams to align logistics with site readiness, manage delays, and provide regular updates to customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in project logistics or freight forwarding.
• Exposure to OOG, heavy-lift or breakbulk cargo movements.
• Sound knowledge of incoterms, customs and trade compliance.
• Confidence working across multimodal transport environments.
• Experience using CargoWise or similar freight management systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics activities for project cargo, including OOG and heavy-lift movements.
• Support planning and execution across air, sea, road and rail transport modes.
• Prepare and manage export and import documentation per customs rules.
• Maintain accurate project files, milestones and records in freight systems.
• Monitor shipment progress, manage delays and resolve issues.
• Provide regular status updates to internal teams and customers.
• Assist costing and logistics planning during bid and proposal stages.
• Build and maintain relationships with carriers, vendors and service partners.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement and HSE to align logistics with site readiness.
• Ensure compliance with CEVA standards and ISO requirements.

YOUR ROLE

As a Project Coordinator within our Project Logistics team, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of complex logistics projects across the energy, infrastructure and industrial sectors.

Based at our Melbourne Airport VIC office and reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll coordinate the planning, documentation and execution of heavy-lift and out-of-gauge (OOG) cargo movements across multimodal supply chains. This is a detail-focused role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced project environment and enjoys working across multiple stakeholders to deliver against critical milestones.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• Coordinate logistics activities for assigned project cargo, including OOG and heavy-lift movements
• Support planning and execution across air, sea, road and rail transport modes
• Prepare and manage export and import documentation in line with customs and trade requirements
• Maintain accurate project files, milestones and records within CEVA’s freight management systems
• Monitor shipment progress, proactively managing delays and resolving issues
• Provide regular status updates to internal teams and customers
• Support costing and logistics planning activities during bid and proposal stages
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with carriers, vendors and service partners
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement and HSE teams to align logistics with site readiness
• Ensure compliance with CEVA standards, ISO requirements and regulatory obligations.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You’ll bring experience from project logistics or freight forwarding, with a strong ability to coordinate complex activities and manage competing priorities.

• Experience coordinating logistics operations within freight forwarding or project logistics
• Exposure to OOG, breakbulk or heavy-lift cargo movements
• Sound knowledge of incoterms, customs processes and trade compliance
• Confidence working across multimodal transport environments
• Experience using CargoWise or similar freight management systems
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and high attention to detail.
