Job summary

Sydney Trains is seeking an experienced Program Planning Manager to lead the planning, development and prioritisation of major infrastructure programs that support NSW's rail network. You will transform strategic asset priorities into delivery-ready programs and projects.

Working with Asset Management, Design, Engineering and Network Maintenance, you will ensure plans are well defined, scoped and positioned for successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience planning and managing complex capital works programs.
• Strong expertise in project lifecycle planning, scheduling, risk, resources and cost control.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder collaboration.
• Experience in safety-critical or high-risk operational environments.

Sydney Trains is seeking an experienced and strategic Program Planning Manager to lead the planning, development and prioritisation of major infrastructure programs that support one of Australia's largest and most complex transport networks.

This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of Sydney's rail network by transforming strategic asset priorities into delivery-ready programs and projects. You will play a pivotal role in developing and shaping a diverse civil infrastructure portfolio, including bridge renewals and refurbishments, culverts, drainage upgrades and platform reconditioning initiatives.

Working closely with Asset Management, Design, Engineering, Delivery and Network Maintenance teams, you will ensure project and program plans are clearly defined, appropriately scoped and positioned for successful delivery.

As a leader of a high-performing planning team, you will drive best-practice planning and governance, balancing safety, risk, reliability, constructability, cost and long-term network performance.

About You

• Extensive experience planning and or managing complex capital works programs
• Strong expertise across project lifecycle planning, scheduling, risk, resource and cost management
• Proven leadership experience, including developing and leading multidisciplinary teams
• Demonstrated success influencing and collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups
• Experience working within safety-critical or high-risk operational environments
• Sound commercial acumen and a strong focus on value, deliverability and outcomes
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills

Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
