Job summary

Transport for NSW, Sydney Metro, is seeking a Planner on a temporary fixed-term full-time basis until 31 March 2028. Based in Sydney, you will develop and manage complex schedules for a major rail project, coordinating interfaces across contractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team delivering integrated planning, scheduling and program coordination across the Metro West Project.
• Develop and manage complex, multi-disciplinary schedules and coordinate interfaces across multiple contractors.
• Undertake program impact, scenario and critical path analysis to support on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Coordinate the integration of contractor programs and drive schedule accuracy and performance outcomes.
• Manage complex integrated schedules, resolve interface challenges across multi-contractor programs for reliable delivery.
• Utilise Primavera P6 and other project management software to deliver reporting, risk analysis and scenario planning.

In this role, you'll:

• Work as part of a team delivering integrated planning, scheduling and program coordination and management across the Metro West Project.
• This role will see you develop and manage complex, multi-disciplinary schedules, coordinate interfaces across multiple contractors, and contribute to the successful delivery of one of Australia’s largest transport programs, while building your expertise in large-scale rail and systems integration.
• You will undertake program impact, scenario and critical path analysis to support on-time, on-budget delivery in a complex infrastructure environment.
• You will coordinate the integration of contractor programs and drive improved schedule accuracy, visibility and performance outcomes in a complex, high-value infrastructure delivery environment.
• Your strong planning and scheduling capability formed across major infrastructure, rail, construction or engineering environments will see you excel in managing complex integrated schedules, resolving interface challenges and bringing structure to multi-contractor programs to lead to reliable, on-time project delivery.
• You’re recognised as a detail-oriented problem solver, skilled at analysing schedules and coordinating stakeholders, and experienced in Primavera P6, integrated program management and delivering reporting, risk analysis and scenario planning across complex projects.
• You hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or bring equivalent experience, with proven Primavera P6 and project management software expertise.
