Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking an experienced Program Manager for a fixed-term opportunity in Sydney. You will lead a portfolio of infrastructure projects, driving delivery from planning to completion while ensuring safety, quality and on-time outcomes.

You will manage budgets, engage with stakeholders, and communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences, aiming for value for money and continuous improvement across the program.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, civil engineering, construction, infrastructure or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience managing multiple civil infrastructure projects or programs with interdependencies.
• Strong project planning, governance, risk management and delivery capability.
• Experience managing project budgets, forecasts and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects within a program of works.
• Drive project delivery from planning through to completion, on time and within budget.
• Develop works briefs, submissions and documentation for informed decision making.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal/external stakeholders, contractors and partners.

In this role, you'll:

As a Program Manager within Sydney Road Network Maintenance, you will lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects that support safe, reliable and resilient transport outcomes for the community.

Working across multiple projects and stakeholders, you will drive project delivery from planning through to completion, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

More specifically you will:

• Manage and deliver multiple projects across a program of works, including scope development, planning, scheduling, reporting and resource coordination.
• Develop works brief, project submissions and project documentation to support informed decision making and successful delivery outcomes.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, consultants and government partners.
• Oversee project budgets, forecasting and expenditure to ensure strong financial management and value for money outcomes.
• Communicate complex technical and engineering concepts to a range of audiences in a clear and practical way.
• Ensure projects comply with quality, safety and environmental requirements, standards and approvals.
• Identify, assess and manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies to support successful project outcomes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the successful delivery of medium-scale projects that support Transport for NSW's broader objectives.
