Job summary

NSW Aboriginal Land Council is seeking a passionate Program Officer to support the Land Warriors Junior Rangers Program across participating Aboriginal communities in NSW. You will assist with program delivery, stakeholder engagement, administration, logistics, reporting and participant activities that strengthen young people’s connection to culture and country.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering community, youth or education programs.
  • Ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal people and communities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple activities and meet deadlines.
  • Current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel, including overnight travel.
  • Working with Children Check or ability to obtain prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Junior Rangers Program Coordinator with implementation and day-to-day delivery across participating locations.
  • Coordinate school-based sessions, on-Country activities, camps, excursions, workshops and events.
  • Maintain contact with Local Aboriginal Land Councils, schools and delivery partners to support program delivery.
  • Manage program logistics including transport, accommodation, catering, equipment, venues and resources.
  • Maintain accurate program records and participant data for reporting and acquittals.
  • Support procurement, payments and contractor administration within approved budgets.
