Mission Australia is seeking a Program Manager in Cairns to oversee three homelessness programs, including After Hours Outreach and Immediate Housing. You will lead a team of about 30 staff, drive high-quality service delivery, strengthen partnerships, and ensure program outcomes for people experiencing homelessness.
In this hands-on leadership role you will balance people leadership, operations, stakeholder relationships and performance.

As Program Manager, you'll oversee three established homelessness programs, including After Hours Outreach Service, Immediate Housing Response and Going Places. Leading a team of approximately 30 employees, you'll drive high-quality service delivery, strengthen partnerships across the community and ensure programs achieve meaningful outcomes for people experiencing homelessness.
You'll work closely with local service providers, housing organisations, government departments and community partners to ensure people can access the support they need when they need it most. From responding to immediate needs through to supporting longer-term housing outcomes, you'll play an important role in strengthening homelessness services across the region.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance people leadership, operational oversight, stakeholder relationships and service performance. You'll be part of a local team that is committed to delivering quality services and positive outcomes for the Cairns community.
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
