Job summary

Workpac Group is sourcing a Production Coordinator for a leading Australian precast concrete manufacturer in Toowoomba, Queensland. The role is a temp-to-perm opportunity starting with a morning shift (5:00am–1:00pm), and includes a $80 weekly attendance bonus.

Ideal candidates have leadership experience (team leader, supervisor or senior operator) and proven ability to coordinate on-floor production, materials, and schedules while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production activities, schedules, labour, materials and equipment.
• Allocate work, provide direction, and support production teams on the floor.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to manage delays and changing priorities.
• Liaise with supervisors, production teams, transport and management to ensure efficient workflow.
• Review production orders and ensure products meet specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate moulds, reinforcing steel, concrete pours, curing, finishing, storage and dispatch activities.
• Identify and resolve production issues to maintain productivity and minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate production records, schedules, stock movements and reporting.

About the Position:

We are currently seeking an experienced Production Coordinator to join the team in Torrington, Toowoomba. This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced Leading Hand, Team Leader, Senior Production Operator, Senior Precast Operator, or Yard Supervisor looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily production activities, schedules, labour, materials, and equipment.
• Allocate work, provide direction, and support production teams on the floor.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to manage delays and changing priorities.
• Liaise with supervisors, production teams, transport, and management to ensure efficient workflow.
• Review production orders and ensure products meet required specifications and quality standards.

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in precast concrete, concrete products, manufacturing, or production environments.
• Experience as a Team Leader, Leading Hand, 2IC, Supervisor, or Senior Operator with responsibility for coordinating work and people.
• Strong understanding of production scheduling, workflow coordination, targets, and deadlines.
• Proven ability to allocate labour, coordinate resources, and keep production running efficiently.
• Hands‑on leadership style with a willingness to work alongside the team, not just behind a desk.
• Ability to interpret production plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a range of personalities.
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
• Ability to successfully pass a Drug & Alcohol Screen.
