Job summary

Fuse Recruitment is assisting a growing precast concrete manufacturer in Queensland to hire a Production Leading Hand to lead daily operations on the production floor. You will coordinate labour, plant and materials, oversee moulds, reinforcement and pouring, and ensure outputs meet drawings and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in precast concrete, concrete manufacturing or civil construction.
• Experience leading or supervising a production team.
• Strong understanding of concrete manufacturing processes (moulds, reinforcement, pouring).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and production requirements.
• Strong focus on quality, safety and productivity.
• Hands-on leadership style and on-floor involvement.
• Exposure to ISO 45001:2018, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the production team across daily precast manufacturing activities.
• Allocate labour, equipment and resources to ensure production schedules are met.
• Coordinate mould preparation, reinforcement, concrete pouring, stripping, finishing and yard activities.
• Monitor product quality and ensure work is completed to drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
• Oversee daily production progress and communicate issues, delays and resource requirements to the Operations Manager.
• Promote safe work practices, maintain housekeeping standards and support continuous improvement.

Who you will be working with

You’ll join a close-knit precast manufacturing team known for producing quality products and delivering reliably for major civil, construction and infrastructure projects across Queensland.

Working closely with the Operations Manager and business owners, you’ll become a key leader on the production floor, coordinating the team and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard. This is a practical environment where good ideas are heard and strong operators are trusted to get on with the job.

We are looking for someone with

• Proven experience in precast concrete, concrete manufacturing, civil construction or a similar environment
• Previous experience leading or supervising a production team
• Strong understanding of concrete manufacturing processes, including moulds, reinforcement and pouring
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and production requirements
• Strong focus on quality, safety and productivity
• A practical, hands‑on leadership style with a willingness to get involved on the floor
