Are you an experienced Precast Operator, Steelfixer, Leading Hand Carpenter, QA professionalready to take the next step in your career?

Now Careers client is seeking a hands-on Assistant Production Manager to join an established precast concrete manufacturing facility in Blacktown. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong precast experience who wants to move into a leadership and production management role.

Working alongside the Production Manager, you will help manage the daily production operation while developing your skills across people management, production planning, quality, safety and workflow coordination.

The Role

• Assist with daily precast production and workflow.
• Coordinate labour, materials and production priorities.
• Monitor quality, productivity and production targets.
• Support QA pre-pour and post-pour inspections and quality requirements.
• Lead, support and mentor production staff.
• Help identify and resolve production issues.
• Work closely with maintenance, quality and logistics teams.
• Assist with production reporting and performance management.
• Support training and continuous improvement.
• Step into the Production Manager's role when required.

About You

We are particularly interested in candidates with hands-on precast or construction experience who are ready to progress into leadership.

You could be a current or former:

• Precast Operator
• Steelfixer
• Leading Hand Carpenter

• QA Pre-Pour / Post-Pour Inspector
• Senior Construction or Production Worker
• Precast Tradesperson

You’ll bring:

• Strong practical construction or precast manufacturing knowledge.
• Understanding of precast production processes, QA and quality control.
• Experience with or understanding of pre-pour and post-pour inspections.
• Ability to read drawings and follow specifications.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• A hands-on, team-focused approach.
• The drive and potential to develop into a Production Manager.
