Job summary

Epiroc Australia is seeking a Senior Drill Fitter to join our team, operating on world-class mining equipment. The role involves FIFO from Brisbane to Papua New Guinea, with work in both field and workshop environments.

You will repair, service and maintain equipment, diagnose faults, and provide technical support to customers and colleagues. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and ongoing development within a global company that values people and innovation.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel, Mechanical, Electrical or related trade.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with heavy mobile equipment.
• Experience in field service, maintenance or equipment rebuilds.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs, rebuilds, servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and RCS faults.
• Work across field and workshop environments.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers and team members.
• Support safe and efficient operation of Epiroc equipment.
• Maintain high safety, quality and workmanship standards.

About the role

As a Senior Drill Fitter, you’ll play a key role in keeping Epiroc’s underground and surface mining equipment operating safely and efficiently.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Carrying out repairs, rebuilds, servicing and preventative maintenance
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and RCS faults
• Working across both field and workshop environments
• Providing technical support and guidance to customers and team members
• Supporting the safe and efficient operation of Epiroc equipment
• Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and workmanship

What we’re looking for
