Job summary

Epiroc is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Production team in Perth. This permanent, full-time role focuses on building, assembling, maintaining, and refurbishing specialised mining vehicles and equipment for OreSight and Geophysical Logging services.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will read engineering drawings, fabricate, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Trade qualification in Automotive, Marine, Mechanical Fitting or related mechanical trade.
  • Minimum 3 years' post-trade experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and diagrams.
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence; HR licence highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Full mechanical builds of specialised vehicles and equipment.
  • Assembly and installation of custom mechanical components.
  • Light fabrication and modification work.
  • Maintenance and refurbishment of existing vehicles and equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Supporting ongoing improvement and innovative production projects.
  • Work with the Production team to deliver equipment safely and to a high standard.

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Production team in Kewdale. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to join an innovative business delivering specialised technology and equipment to the mining industry.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be involved in the build, assembly, maintenance and refurbishment of our specialised vehicles and equipment used across our OreSight and Conventional Geophysical Logging services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Full mechanical builds of specialised vehicles and equipment
  • Assembly and installation of custom mechanical components
  • Light fabrication and modification work
  • Maintenance and refurbishment of existing vehicles and equipment
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation

About You:

You will bring:

  • Relevant trade qualification in Automotive, Marine, Mechanical Fitting or a related mechanical trade
  • Minimum 3 years' post-trade experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical fault-finding skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and diagrams
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence; HR licence highly regarded
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
