Job summary

Epiroc is seeking an experienced Senior Drill Fitter to join the team, performing repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance on mining equipment in Papua New Guinea. This role operates on a FIFO basis from Brisbane and involves both field and workshop work.

You will diagnose complex faults, provide technical support, and uphold rigorous safety and quality standards while supporting a global leader in mining technology.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel, Mechanical or Electrical.
• Experience with heavy mobile equipment.
• Field service, maintenance or rebuilds experience.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Epiroc product or rotary drill experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs, rebuilds, servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and RCS faults.
• Work across both field and workshop environments.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers and team members.
• Support the safe and efficient operation of Epiroc equipment.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and workmanship.

About The Role

As a Senior Drill Fitter, you’ll play a key role in keeping Epiroc’s underground and surface mining equipment operating safely and efficiently.

• Carrying out repairs, rebuilds, servicing and preventative maintenance
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and RCS faults
• Working across both field and workshop environments
• Providing technical support and guidance to customers and team members
• Supporting the safe and efficient operation of Epiroc equipment
• Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and workmanship

What We’re Looking For

• Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel, Mechanical, Electrical or a related trade
• Strong experience working with heavy mobile equipment
• Experience in field service, maintenance or equipment rebuilds
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• A commitment to safety and quality
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Epiroc product or rotary blast hole drill experience highly regarded
