Job summary

BT Financial Group in Sydney is seeking a Product Manager, Retirement to lead retirement initiatives on BT Panorama and Challenger Annuities. This permanent role sits within the BT Platforms Product Management team and collaborates across Data & Analytics, Marketing, Distribution, Risk and Legal to improve adviser and member experiences.

You will manage retirement strategy, governance and regulatory change while delivering customer-centric solutions in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial services product management with understanding of retirement product landscape.
• Background in customer or member engagement; customer insights to identify opportunities.
• Strong digital and AI acumen; familiarity with AI tools and Copilot is a plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to prepare governance papers.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a highly regulated environment.

What’s the role?

This is a permanent opportunity within the BT Platforms Product Management team, ideally based in Sydney / Warrane, Gadigal Country, with Perth / Boorloo, Noongar Country or Adelaide / Tarndanya, Kaurna Country also available.

You’ll help deliver retirement focused initiatives and support the ongoing management of retirement products available on BT Panorama, including Challenger Annuities. You’ll work across retirement strategy, product governance and legislative change, while looking for new ways to improve adviser and member experiences. You’ll collaborate with teams including Data and Analytics, Marketing and Communications, Distribution, Risk, Legal and the Office of the Superannuation Trustee.

What do I need?

• Experience in financial services product management, with an understanding of the retirement product landscape, Retirement Income Covenant and financial advice.
• A background in customer or member engagement, with experience such as customer journey mapping, customer profiling or using customer insights to identify opportunities and improve experiences.
• Strong digital and AI acumen, with an understanding of how AI tools can be applied to data and analytics to uncover member insights and support better product outcomes. Familiarity with Copilot would be an advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to prepare clear governance papers and work effectively with senior stakeholders.
• The ability to manage competing priorities, solve problems and identify opportunities for continuous improvement while working effectively in a highly regulated environment.
