Job summary

Magnus Kahl Seeds Pty Ltd is seeking a field-focused role to manage regional and international seed trials for allium, baby leaf, herb and micro green varieties. You will build relationships with growers, collaborate with a small product development team, and be mentored by the Global Sales Manager and General Manager.

You will handle end-to-end trial setup, data management, and collaboration with the breeding team to identify promising genetics.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in a related discipline or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Excellent communication with commercial growers and internal breeding teams.
• Digital marketing and social media know-how.
• Willingness for significant domestic travel and international travel; valid Australian driver's licence and passport.
• Resilient, highly organised, detail-oriented, honest with a good sense of humour.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Role
Are you focused on agriculture and love being out in the field building relationships with growers?
The key responsibility of this role is to assist with managing both regional and international trialling programs covering our allium, baby leaf, herb and micro green seed. This role requires someone with strong communication skills, with the ability to develop relationships with current and prospective customers. You will be working closely with a small product development team and will be mentored by the Global Sales Manager and company General Manager.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of product development, which includes setting up, managing, and evaluating both domestic and international vegetable seed trials. By working closely with the breeding team, you will help identify the oncoming pipeline genetics and play a critical part in the trialling process.
Your responsibilities also extend to technical data management, where you will record and analyze trial findings to support management in making key decisions regarding variety progression. This analytical work ensures that the most promising varieties are advanced through the development pipeline.
Beyond the field and data analysis, you will contribute to marketing and brand development by assisting with the organisation of field days and attending major industry events. Additionally, you will help grow the Magnus Kahl Seeds and Ausallium brands by driving engagement across various social media and digital platforms.
