TriCab (Australia) Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a hands-on Procurement Officer to join the TriCab Trading team. You will manage end-to-end purchasing, coordinate international shipments and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely product availability.

The role requires knowledge of import/export processes, negotiation skills and excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Proven hands‑on experience in procurement, purchasing and international shipping.
• Strong knowledge of import/export processes and shipping documentation.
• Strong supplier relationship management and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Electrical product knowledge or experience in electrical wholesale/distribution is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating international shipments (LCL/FCL) and liaising with freight forwarders.
• Managing inventory, stock levels and demand forecasting to ensure timely product availability.
• Coordinating with sales teams and branches to identify stock requirements and source products cost‑effectively.
• Developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, payment terms and supply agreements.
• Monitoring supplier performance, delivery schedules and compliance with required standards.
• Preparing procurement, inventory and stock movement reports.

About the role

We are looking for aProcurement Officerto join our TriCab Trading team. This is a hands‑on role requiring experience in procurement, international shipping and import documentation, along with the ability to build and maintain excellent supplier relationships.

Reporting to the General Manager, your key responsibilities will include

Managing end-to-end purchasing activities, including preparing and processing purchase orders and procurement documentation.

Coordinating international shipments (LCL/FCL) and liaising with freight forwarders.

Managing inventory, stock levels and demand forecasting to ensure timely product availability.

Coordinating with sales teams and branches to identify stock requirements and source products cost‑effectively.

Developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, payment terms and supply agreements.

Monitoring supplier performance, delivery schedules and compliance with required standards.

Preparing procurement, inventory and stock movement reports.

Skills and Experience

Proven hands‑on experience in procurement, purchasing and international shipping.

Good understanding of import/export processes and shipping documentation.

Strong supplier relationship management and negotiation skills.

Excellent organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills.

Electrical product knowledge or experience in electrical wholesale/distribution will be highly regarded.

Mandarin language skills will be an added advantage
