Job summary

Benmax in Canberra is expanding its procurement function, creating a role to own end-to-end purchase orders and ensure data accuracy across buyer, planner and inventory teams within the ERP system.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will work with finance, receiving and engineering to uphold master data standards and change control processes while maintaining high data integrity and transactional accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing administration and order processing.
• Data accuracy within ERP or business systems.
• Ability to manage high transaction volumes and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Administer purchase orders from start to finish, including requisitions and acknowledgements.
• Follow up overdue confirmations to provide reliable delivery dates.
• Maintain item master data (part numbers, descriptions, suppliers, pricing, lead times).
• Process item and BOM updates per change control processes.
• Support three-way match by resolving PO, receipt, and invoice discrepancies.
• Ensure transactions post to inventory ledger correctly.
• Prepare routine purchasing reports (open orders, overdue confirmations, price variances).
• Document PO administration procedures as established.
