Job summary

Benmax Pty is expanding its procurement function and creating a dedicated PO / Product Data Officer role. You will own end-to-end purchase order administration and ensure item and product data accuracy within the ERP, working with Buyers, Finance, Receiving and Engineering to uphold master data standards.

You will administer orders, maintain item data, support three-way matching with finance, and generate routine reports to keep data current and reliable across the procurement workflow.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing administration or a similar transactional role.
• Experience maintaining accurate data within an ERP or business system.
• Demonstrated accuracy and follow-through with high-volume transactions.
• Strong technology skills, including ERP transaction processing.
• Methodical and organised approach under pressure.
• Clear written communication skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing, engineering or BOM-driven environment.
• Experience supporting three-way matching with finance.
• Experience documenting administrative procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administer purchase orders from start to finish, including creating orders from requisitions and recording acknowledgements.
• Follow up overdue acknowledgements to ensure reliable delivery dates.
• Maintain item master data such as part numbers, descriptions, pricing, lead times and UoM.
• Process item and BOM updates from engineering changes per change control.
• Support three-way match by resolving PO, receipt and invoice discrepancies.
• Ensure purchasing transactions post correctly to the inventory ledger.
• Prepare routine purchasing reports like open orders and price variances.
• Document purchase order administration procedures as established.
