Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD in Rockhampton invites an experienced procurement professional to join the Program Support team. You’ll provide procurement, contract administration and project controls support to regional units, helping deliver value-for-money outcomes across infrastructure projects.

You'll work across governance-focused processes, collaborate with project managers and stakeholders, and use SAP, 3PCM and Excel to monitor procurement and financial activity while

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, contract administration or project controls within a governance-focused environment.
• Ability to interpret policies and procedures and manage competing priorities.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with SAP or Excel is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide procurement advice and support on sourcing, contract establishment and procurement planning activities.
• Coordinate procurement processes, including tender activities, evaluations and contract formation. Support contract administration activities and project controls functions across infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects.
• Monitor procurement and financial transactions to ensure governance requirements and delegated authorities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, expenditure tracking, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate procurement, contract and project records. Identify risks, provide practical solutions and support sound business decisionmaking.
• Build productive relationships with project teams, suppliers and stakeholders across the region.
• Use systems such as SAP, 3PCM and Microsoft Excel to support financial and procurement management activities.
