Job summary

Queensland Government (Transport and Main Roads) is seeking an Advisor (Procurement) to support procurement, contract administration and project controls across Mackay and Rockhampton. You will work with project managers and stakeholders to ensure value-for-money outcomes while aligning with governance requirements.

The role focuses on planning, sourcing, contract establishment and financial monitoring, offering exposure to a diverse infrastructure portfolio in Central Queensland.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, contract administration or project controls within a governance-focused environment.
• Experience using SAP and Excel for financial management and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide procurement advice and support on sourcing, contract establishment and procurement planning activities.
• Coordinate procurement processes, including tender activities, evaluations and contract formation.
• Support contract administration activities and project controls functions across infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects.
• Monitor procurement and financial transactions to ensure governance compliance and delegated authorities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, expenditure tracking, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate procurement, contract and project records.
• Identify risks, provide practical solutions and support sound business decision-making.
• Build productive relationships with project teams, suppliers and stakeholders across the region.
• Use systems such as SAP, 3PCM and Microsoft Excel to support financial and procurement management activities.
