Job summary

South32 is seeking a Superintendent Processing Services to lead the safe, stable and efficient delivery of processing operations at the Cannington site in northwest Queensland. The role provides governance across ROM operations, water management, tailings and onsite power services, with FIFO options from Brisbane or Townsville and DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay Shires.

Qualifications include a mining engineering or related technical discipline, and experience in tailings governance

Qualifications

• Experience leading mining or mineral processing operations.
• Strong knowledge of ROM operations, water systems and tailings facilities.
• Solid understanding of tailings governance and GISTM requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Processing Services with a focus on safe, stable and efficient ROM operations.
• Govern contractor performance and ensure service delivery meets commercial obligations.
• Ensure TSF operations comply with GISTM, legislation and site standards.
• Drive cost control and continuous improvement across accountable areas.
