Job summary

South32 seeks a Coordinator Processing Services to coordinate planning, delivery and performance of processing support services to enable safe, reliable operations at its Cannington site in northwest Queensland.

The role involves managing contractor work plans, water treatment and environmental preparedness, plus overseeing budgets and service improvements, with FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville and DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay Shire.

Qualifications

• Mineral processing or mining operations experience with contractor management.
• Experience in earthworks, materials handling and water pumping.
• Strong team leadership, coaching and development to support engagement and inclusion.
• Clear communication and collaborative decision-making with stakeholders.
• Class C driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contractor work plans, resource allocation and site-standard compliance.
• Manage water treatment, dewatering and tailings-related environmental preparedness.
• Oversee spillage recovery, minor works and tailings-related activities.
• Monitor budgets, review contractor claims and implement service improvements.
