Job summary

Cortela Carbon Pty Ltd in Narangba, Queensland, is seeking a reliable Process Worker for our carbon workshop. You’ll handle carbon materials, operate workshop equipment, and support warehouse tasks in a hands-on role focused on quality and safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process carbon materials using workshop equipment (band saws, table saws, pedestal drills).
• Measure and check components using callipers and precision tools.
• Carry out brush manufacturing tasks such as terminating, stamping, and tamping.
• Perform general metal work and production tasks as required.
• Support warehouse and materials handling activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Complete production documentation and follow procedures.
• Work safely and in line with company policies and WHS requirements.

At Cortela Carbon, we’re looking for a reliable and motivated Process Worker to join our Carbon Workshop team, helping manufacture carbon brushes and related products that support critical industrial applications.

About the Role

This is a hands-on production role where no two days are exactly the same. You’ll be working with specialised materials, tools, and equipment to produce high-quality carbon brush products, while supporting broader workshop and warehouse activities.

You’ll be part of a close-knit team that values quality, safety, and doing the job right the first time. We’ll provide training and support, but we’re looking for someone who brings initiative, care, and a willingness to learn.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Preparing and processing carbon materials using workshop equipment (band saws, table saws, pedestal drills)
• Measuring and checking components using callipers and other precision tools
• Carrying out brush manufacturing tasks such as terminating, stamping, and tamping
• Performing general metal work and production tasks as required
• Supporting warehouse and materials handling activities

• Working safely and in line with company policies and WHS requirements

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Enjoys hands-on, practical work and takes pride in quality output

• Works well in a team and communicates respectfully
• Has basic numeracy skills and confidence using tools and equipment
