Job summary

Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) seeks a Senior HSE Manager (COMAH) to lead the site HSE, process safety, and fire protection teams at our Oilseeds Processing facility. You will drive a strong safety culture, regulatory compliance, and risk management across the site in collaboration with regional and global centers.

The role requires strategic leadership, robust technical expertise in COMAH/Seveso, incident investigation, and proactive engagement with regulators to maintain best-practice

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Safety Management, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in Health & Safety, Environmental and Process Safety management systems in complex industrial environments.
• Strong COMAH/Seveso regulations expertise, including explosion safety, risk assessments (HAZOP/LOPA/PHA).
• Proven leadership in HSE within high-hazard manufacturing or chemical settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the site HSE, Process Safety and Fire Protection teams with strategic oversight.
• Champion a proactive safety culture focused on major hazard prevention and risk reduction.
• Use data and investigations to drive continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
• Lead risk management processes including HAZOPs, LOPAs, MOC, and Permit-to-Work with site stakeholders.
• Engage with regulatory authorities and lead inspections and audits.
• Partner with Engineering and Operations to ensure safe project delivery and emergency planning.
