Job summary

The Pentarch Group’s Superior Wood Pty Ltd is hiring Process Operators for our Imbil and Melawondi sites south of Gympie. You will operate and monitor timber processing machinery, grade timber, and support production with a strong focus on health and safety.

This is a permanent, full-time role on a 4-day week roster with day shifts (5:15am–3:15pm). We offer a base hourly rate of 27.08 AUD + super, paid overtime, and opportunities to learn across plant machinery.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in machine operating, labouring or manual handling in a production environment is desirable.
• Ability to independently travel to and from both Melawondi and Imbil work sites.
• High-risk forklift licence is advantageous.
• Positive attitude, reliable and punctual.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Knowledge of the timber industry is favourable.
• Ability to manually handle various sizes of timber product.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and produce high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Operation and monitoring of timber processing machinery and plant.
• Timber grading, stacking, sorting, wrapping and strapping.
• Machine monitoring, fault detection and basic troubleshooting.
• Inventory handling and production support duties.

About the Position

We are seeking Process Operators with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic to join our Mary Valley timber manufacturing operations. You will complete a range of tasks to assist in our production processes and play a key part in producing high-quality timber products. If you enjoy working across different equipment and machinery, we are interested in talking to you.

We are looking for candidates to pick up day shifts at the below time:

• 4 Day week: 5:15am – 3:15pm (Monday or Friday RDO).

We currently have vacancies at our sites south of Gympie in Imbil and Melawondi (10kms apart). We are offering a competitive base hourly rate of $27.08 + Super.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Operation and monitoring of timber processing machinery and plant.
• Timber grading, stacking, sorting, wrapping and strapping.
• Machine monitoring, fault detection and basic troubleshooting.
• Inventory handling and production support duties.
