Job summary

Wilmar Sugar & Renewables at Invicta Mill in North Queensland is seeking a Fugal Operator to transform raw ingredients into raw sugar within a lively production team. You'll work with the Mill management, Pan Boilers and Shift Team, and perform routine sampling and analysis of sugar and molasses streams while maintaining a strong focus on safety and housekeeping.

The role features Crushing season shifts (June–December) and Maintenance season day work (January–May).

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator.
• Basic maintenance skills.
• Willing to undergo required licences if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Produce Raw Sugar and C seed/magma that meets quality and technical standards with minimal disruption.
• Collaborate with Mill management, Pan Boilers and Shift Team.
• Sample, inspect and perform basic analysis on sugar and molasses streams.
• Maintain housekeeping around fugal station for a safe work environment.
• Inspect plant and equipment and raise maintenance requests as required.
• Complete logbooks and data charts for management.

About The Role

As a Fugal Operator at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you will be working as part of our sugar production team, where you'll transform raw ingredients into raw sugar while having a blast! You'll work alongside great colleagues, tackle exciting challenges, and enjoy a lively atmosphere filled with teamwork.

Located at our Invicta Mill in beautiful North Queensland, the local area offers a laid-back lifestyle, with exciting outdoor adventures right at your doorstep. Whether you're into fishing and boating, hiking, or just chilling by the beach, the Burdekin Region has it all waiting for you.

This is a permanent position in our sugar processing factory which requires Shift Work during the Crushing season (June - December) and Day Work during the Maintenance season (Jan - May).

Your Role in Action

• Sweet Systems: Produce Raw Sugar and C seed/magma that consistently satisfies quality and technical standards with minimal disruption to operations and product loss.


• Collaboration Crew: Work in conjunction and communicate effectively with the Mill management, Pan Boilers and Shift Team.


• Data Detective: Sample, inspect and perform basic analysis on sugar and molasses streams.


• Housekeeping Hero: Maintain excellent housekeeping practices around fugal station to ensure a safe work environment.


• Efficiency Enforcer: Perform regular inspection of plant, equipment and complete maintenance request as required.


• Accuracy in Action: Complete logbooks, charts and any other data collection required by management.

Our ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator and have basic maintenance skills.
