Job summary

Wilmar Sugar Australia invites applications for a Project Engineer to support capital projects that enhance reliability, efficiency and long-term sustainability of operations. Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience delivering engineering, maintenance or capital projects in industrial manufacturing or processing.
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement across teams.
  • Commitment to workplace health, safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reliability, operational performance and workplace safety.

About The Role

As a Project Engineer, you will support the delivery of capital projects that improve the reliability, efficiency and long‑term sustainability of our operations. Working closely with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams, you will coordinate projects from concept through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

You will play a key role in managing project schedules, budgets, contractors and reporting requirements, while supporting the implementation of asset upgrades and improvement initiatives across our operations. Role Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of capital projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and within budget.

About You

We are looking for someone who brings:

Essential
  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience delivering engineering, maintenance or capital projects within an industrial, manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace health, safety and continuous improvement.
Desirable
  • Experience within the sugar, food processing, manufacturing, mining or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, asset management or reliability principles.
  • Experience using project management software and engineering maintenance systems.
