Job summary

Linde plc in Melbourne, Australia, seeks a production operator to join our team. The role involves working across production areas, adhering to procedures, and reporting deviations and hazards.

You will handle medical cylinders and industrial gas mixtures, with responsibilities across shift rotations and required safety standards. The position requires certification in relevant production activities, a couple of years in an industrial setting, and the ability to read and follow SOPs under test

Qualifications

• Formal certification in relevant production activities.
• Two-year exposure to industrial environment.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend operating procedures and communicate answers under test conditions.
• Understanding of the Dangerous Goods Act implications.
• Willingness to work day and afternoon shifts on a rotational/relief basis.
• Willingness to do relief work when required.

Responsibilities

• Conducting work in accordance with procedures and reporting deviations.
• Reporting and recording product non-conformances.
• Reporting hazards & incidents (including those with environmental consequences).
• Performing production duties in all areas and potentially moving between production areas daily.
• Committing to the agreed roster system in each area.
• Filling and handling of all medical cylinders per the Australian Code of Good Manufacturing Practice for Medicinal Products.
• Filling of Industrial Air Products gases (Air, Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, Argoshield gas mixtures plus special gas mixtures) to company specs at MOC.
• Undertaking duties as directed by the Team Leader within the appropriate levels of competence and training.
• Exhibiting physical/medical fitness intrinsic to the position.

• The incumbent will be required to perform production duties in all areas and may be required to move between production areas daily if necessary.
• The incumbent must commit to the agreed roster system in each area in which they are committed to work.
• Filling and handling of all medical cylinders in accordance with the requirements of the Australian Code of Good Manufacturing Practice for Medicinal Products.
• Filling of Industrial Air Products gases i.e. Air, Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, Argoshield gas mixtures plus all special gas mixtures at MOC to company specifications.
• Undertake any duties as directed by your Team Leader that are within the appropriate levels of competence and training and consistent with this role.
• Exhibit a level of physical/medical fitness intrinsic to the requirements of the position.
