Job summary

BOC Victoria is seeking a production operator to join our manufacturing facility. You will perform filling and handling of medical cylinders and industrial gas products, while strictly following procedures and reporting deviations.

You will work day and afternoon shifts on a rotating basis, and may move between production areas as needed to support operations. A commitment to safety, including environmental considerations, is essential.

Qualifications

• Formal certification in relevant production activities.
• Two-year exposure to industrial environment.
• Able to work day and afternoon shifts on rotation.
• Read and follow operating procedures.
• Knowledge of the Dangerous Goods Act.

Responsibilities

• Perform production duties across areas and move between areas as required.
• Follow procedures and report deviations.
• Report hazards and incidents (environmental implications included).
• Fill and handle medical cylinders per Australian Good Manufacturing Practice.
• Fill Industrial Gas products per company specs (Air, Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, Argoshield).
• Undertake duties as directed by Team Leader and maintain fitness as required.

What you'll be doing

Conducting work in accordance with procedures and reporting deviations

Reporting and recording product non-conformances

Reporting hazards & incidents (including those with environmental consequences)

The incumbent will be required to perform production duties in all areas and may be required to move between production areas daily if necessary.

The incumbent must commit to the agreed roster system in each area in which they are committed to work.

Filling and handling of all medical cylinders in accordance with the requirements of the Australian Code of Good Manufacturing Practice for Medicinal Products.

Filling of Industrial Air Products gases i.e. Air, Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, Argoshield gas mixtures plus all special gas mixtures at MOC to company specifications.

Undertake any duties as directed by your Team Leader that are within the appropriate levels of competence and training and consistent with this role.

Exhibit a level of physical/medical fitness intrinsic to the requirements of the position.

What Makes you great:

The ability and willingness to work day shift and afternoon shifts, on a rotational or relief basis if necessary.

The ability and willingness to work relief work when required.

Ability to read, write, comprehend operating procedures and communicate answers under test conditions.

An understanding of the implications relating to working within the guidelines of the Dangerous Goods Act.
