Job summary

Linde in Sydney, Australia is seeking an experienced Gas Production Operator to safely fill and inspect industrial and medical gas cylinders, operate production facilities, and prepare customer orders. You will work across multiple production areas, adhere to safety standards and contribute to continuous improvement.

Prior experience in gas processing or cylinder filling is essential; forklift license is highly regarded, and full work rights in Australia are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial production or cylinder filling environments is essential.
• Experience handling and filling DA and other industrial gases or similar products is required.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with safety management systems.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and maintain accuracy.
• Functional English communication and ability to use computers and scanners.
• Forklift license is highly regarded.
• Driver's license preferred.
• Ability to obtain security clearance for Major Hazard Facility work.
• Commitment to ongoing training and development.
• Ability to work rotating day/afternoon shifts, Monday–Friday, with weekend overtime.

• Preparing customer gas orders, manifests and loading vehicles to meet customer requirements
• Operating forklifts and production equipment per company procedures
• Maintaining cylinder inspection, testing and compliance records with high accuracy
• Reporting hazards, incidents and non-conformances while participating in safety initiatives
• Supporting a safe, clean and efficient production environment with continuous improvement focus

Job description

• Safely handling, processing, filling and inspecting industrial and medical gas cylinders
• Working across multiple production areas, including Dissolved Acetylene (DA), Works Loading, Distribution Activities, Production & Logistics and related operational functions
• Filling Industrial Air Product gases and operating production facilities and equipment to produce gas safely and efficiently
• Preparing customer gas orders, manifests and loading vehicles to meet customer requirements
• Operating forklifts and production equipment in accordance with company procedures
• Maintaining cylinder inspection, testing and compliance records with a high level of accuracy
• Reporting hazards, incidents and product non-conformances while actively participating in safety initiatives
• Supporting a safe, clean and efficientproduction environment and focusing on continuous improvement activities

What makes you great

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, industrial production, cylinder filling, gas processing or chemical processing environment is essential
• Experience handling and filling Dissolved Acetylene (DA) and other industrial gases, specialty gases or similar products is required
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with safety skill management systems
• Basic literacy, strong attention to detail and the ability to follow documented procedures
• Functional English communication skills with the ability to use computers, scanners and operational technology
• Forklift License highly regarded
• Current Driver's License preferred
• Ability to obtain security clearance to work within a Major Hazard Facility
• Commitment to ongoing training and development
• Ability to commit to a rotating shift – Day and afternoon, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime on weekends
