Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim Australia and New Zealand seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to drive IT infrastructure delivery and performance across ANZ. You will partner with stakeholders and lead initiatives from network upgrad es to device refreshes in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science or IT-related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of IT infrastructure operational support and service delivery.
• Minimum 3 years in IT project management.
• Strong knowledge of desktop support (laptop & ipad), Windows OS and Apple IOS.
• Solid IT Service Management and ITIL knowledge.
• Excellent English communication and user engagement.
• Comfortable working in a matrix organization and traveling 1–3 times per year.
• Willingness to attend occasional after-hours calls (2–3 times per month).
• Strong project management, planning, coordination and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end accountability for all IT Infrastructure activities of Australia and New Zealand with effective stakeholder management.
• Lead the local implementation of global IT Infrastructure initiatives, including network upgrades, video conferencing, device replacement, and digital upskilling programs.
• Lead and support IT infrastructure setup for local business projects such as office renovations or relocations.
• Drive operational and audit excellence across Australia and New Zealand with reliable service delivery and KPI reporting.
• Deliver IT on-site support in Australia and oversee on-site services in New Zealand, ensuring performance and stakeholder satisfaction.

We are looking for an experienced Principal Systems Engineer to join our IT team and play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery and ongoing performance of Local Infrastructure Management in Australia and New Zealand. This role offers the opportunity to combine operational excellence, project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and technology expertise within a collaborative and purpose-driven environment.

Task and Responsibilities

• End-to-end accountability for all IT Infrastructure (INF) activities of Australia and New Zealand with effective stakeholder management.
• Lead the local implementation of global IT Infrastructure initiatives, including network, video conferencing, end-user device replacement; technology rollouts, and digital upskilling programs.
• Lead and support IT infrastructure setup for local business projects as required, including office renovation or relocation project.
• Drive operational and audit excellence across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring reliable service delivery, effective execution of IT infrastructure initiatives, and strong compliance.
• Deliver IT on-site support in Australia and oversee on-site support services in New Zealand, ensuring service performance and effectiveness through stakeholder feedback, supervisory evaluation, and IT incident management KPI reporting.
