Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to drive Local Infrastructure Management across Australia and New Zealand. You will own IT infrastructure delivery, lead global initiative rollouts locally, and partner with multiple departments to ensure reliable service and compliance.

The role requires strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and ITIL-based operations with a focus on enterprise-grade stability and continuous improvement. Occasional travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT infrastructure operational support and service delivery.
• 3+ years IT Project Management experience.
• Strong knowledge in desktop support (laptop & iPad), Windows OS and Apple IOS.
• Strong IT Service Management knowledge and ITIL.
• Excellent communication in English.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end accountability for all IT Infrastructure activities of Australia and New Zealand with effective stakeholder management.
• Lead the local implementation of global IT Infrastructure initiatives, including network, video conferencing, end-user device replacement; technology rollouts, and digital upskilling programs.
• Lead and support IT infrastructure setup for local business projects as required, including office renovation or relocation project.
• Drive operational and audit excellence across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring reliable service delivery, effective execution of IT infrastructure initiatives, and strong compliance.
• Deliver IT on-site support in Australia and oversee on-site support services in New Zealand, ensuring service performance and effectiveness through stakeholder feedback, supervisory evaluation, and IT incident management KPI reporting.
