Job summary

AMC Consultants seeks a Principal Resource Geologist to join the Geosciences team in Australia, ideally Perth-based. You will apply geology and practical expertise to enhance clients' orebody knowledge and deliver high-quality results for AMC projects.

The role covers modelling, resource estimation, data analysis, audits, due diligence, and client engagement across diverse mining projects with global reach. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• A geology degree with post-graduate qualifications well regarded.
• Minimum of 10 years of practical experience in mining and drilling.
• Membership to a recognized professional organisation (e.g. AIG, AIM).
• Fluent English, working rights, and ability to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Support the Geosciences team and collaborate with other AMC service lines.
• Geological modelling—explicit and implicit.
• Mineral Resource estimation and reporting.
• Geostatistical analysis, variography, QAQC data analysis.
• Preparation of proposals and reports.
• Manage project schedules and budgets.
• Identify, develop and sustain new business and client relationships.
