Job summary

GeoCareerGo is seeking a Principal Resource Geologist to lead geological modelling, resource estimation, and client engagements from an Australian office, ideally in Perth. The role requires vast experience across mining projects and international reporting standards.

You will mentor teams, manage budgets, and collaborate with multiple service lines to deliver high-quality assessments and proposals for major clients.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geology required; postgraduate qualifications well regarded.
• Membership of a recognised professional organisation such as AusIMM or AIG is required.
• Minimum 10 years of practical experience relevant to the role, ideally including 5+ years in mining and drilling.

Responsibilities

• Support the Geosciences team and collaborate with other AMC service lines.
• Undertake geological modelling and resource estimation.
• Conduct Mineral Resource estimation and reporting.
• Perform geostatistical analysis, variography and QAQC data analysis.
• Conduct technical reviews and audits of client projects.
• Prepare technical proposals and reports.
• Manage project schedules and budgets.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Contribute to modelling, mining studies, due diligence and geometallurgy projects.
