AMC Consultants in Australia is seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our Geotechnical team across Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne or Perth. You will lead complex geotechnical analyses, deliver high‑quality reports, and drive safe, sustainable solutions across open pit and underground mining projects.

The role requires 15+ years of mining experience, strong client engagement, and the ability to mentor project teams. AusIMM CP status would be highly regarded.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical/Mining Engineering or related field.
Minimum 15 years’ experience in open pit and/or underground mining with strong technical focus.
AusIMM CP status in geotechnical engineering would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Lead geotechnical analyses, modelling and design across mining projects.
Prepare, review and provide technical assurance for reports and project deliverables.
Mentor and guide engineering teams and support business development.
Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
