AECOM's Building Engineering team in Melbourne is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead delivery of complex building services projects across sectors including aviation, healthcare, and transport. You will act as the senior technical authority on electrical design, oversee project delivery, and mentor engineers to raise technical standards.

Qualifications

• 12+ years’ experience in Electrical Engineering within a Building Services consultancy, senior contracting role, or government department.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and RPEV/RPEQ registration preferred.
• Ability to lead multiple technical projects simultaneously with advanced electrical design expertise.
• Deep knowledge of Australian Standards, building codes, and electrical systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with mentoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of sophisticated electrical engineering solutions across diverse projects.
• Act as the senior technical authority on major projects, reviewing electrical design and installation strategies.
• Oversee multiple electrical projects concurrently to meet programme delivery and client expectations.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems into broader building services.
• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers across the team.
