Job summary

Recruitment Hive is supporting a Federal Government agency delivering the National Disability Insurance Scheme. The agency seeks a Principal Director to lead the end-to-end delivery of technology products and services.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams in an agile/DevOps setting, partner with Product Owners and stakeholders, and drive service performance, incident management and continuous improvement across complex programs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary technology teams responsible for end-to-end delivery, operation, support and continuous improvement of complex digital products and services.
• Proven ability to lead product-based teams in Agile and DevOps environments
• Experience partnering with Product Owners, architects and stakeholders to translate roadmaps into delivery outcomes
• Proven ability to manage dependencies, risks and issues across multiple teams
• Experience identifying and governing AI, automation and emerging technologies across the SDLC

Responsibilities

Our client, an independent Federal Government agency responsible for implementing and administering the National Disability Insurance Scheme, require the services of a Principal Director.

Duties of the Principal Director:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery, operation, support, and continuous improvement of technology products and services, ensuring alignment with Agency priorities, business outcomes, and participant outcomes.
• Provide leadership and direction to multidisciplinary product teams operating in an agile and DevOps environment, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivery excellence.
• Partner with Product Owners, business stakeholders, architects, and delivery partners to establish priorities, manage backlogs, and deliver outcomes aligned to product roadmaps, enterprise architecture strategies, and technology standards.
• Oversee product operations, service performance, production support, and incident management activities, ensuring service reliability, effective issue resolution, and continuous service improvement.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of complex technology programs and initiatives by managing dependencies, risks, issues, competing priorities, and cross-team coordination.

Skills and Experience Required

• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary technology teams responsible for the end-to-end delivery, operation, support, and continuous improvement of complex digital products and services.
• Proven ability to lead product-based teams operating in an Agile and DevOps environment, encompassing planning, development, testing, release management, production support, service performance, operational governance, and incident management.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with Product Owners, architects, business stakeholders, and delivery partners to translate strategic priorities and product roadmaps into delivery outcomes aligned with enterprise architecture, security, and technology strategies.
• Proven ability to contribute to the delivery of complex technology programs and initiatives by managing product priorities, dependencies, risks, issues, and outcomes across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Experience identifying, implementing, and governing the use of artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to enhance product delivery, service operations, workforce productivity, and business outcomes.
