Job summary

The Recruitment Hive Pty Ltd seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and support cloud and data infrastructure for the agency, leveraging AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD practices across diverse environments. You will drive scalable cloud solutions, ensure secure configurations, and mentor project teams in an agile setting.

NV1 security clearance is required, with hybrid work across ACT, QLD, WA, VIC, NSW, NT, SA, TAS.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on AWS infrastructure experience and scalable cloud design.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, Artifactory, and Jira.
• Terraform IaC for automated provisioning and management.
• Git version control with Agile development experience.
• Experience with Salesforce, MuleSoft, AWS environments, and Kubernetes.

Our client, who supports a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with significant and permanent disability, and their families and carers, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer.

Duties of the Senior DevOps Engineer

• Design, development, deployment, and support of the Agency’s Cloud & Data Infrastructure;
• Prioritising and managing the work queue to ensure timely delivery of key initiatives;
• Ensuring that all solutions adhere to integration best practices and are well documented;
• Collaborating with business stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes;
• Playing a key leadership role in project teams, utilising an agile development framework.

Skills and Experience Required

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services, with proven ability to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud solutions;
• Strong experience in building and deploying DevOps practices, tools, and continuous delivery pipelines, including GitLab, Artifactory, and Jira, to streamline development workflows;
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform for automating infrastructure provisioning and managemen;
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git, combined with a solid understanding of agile development methodologies to support collaborative, iterative development.
• Demonstrated experience working with Salesforce, MuleSoft and/or AWS environments, including Kubernetes-based platforms;
• Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault for securing sensitive data and managing secrets across cloud infrastructure;
• Demonstrated experience performing or leading GitLab to GitHub migrations within a complex SDLC environment supporting Salesforce, MuleSoft or comparable enterprise technologies.
