Job summary

Recruitment Hive is partnering with a Federal Government agency to deliver data science, ML, AI and advanced analytics initiatives across the Data Science Hub from Sydney or Melbourne with flexible work arrangements.

The Delivery Lead will coordinate delivery with EL1 technical and business stakeholders, facilitate agile ceremonies and planning, and support the Portfolio Director to frame, govern and advance the delivery portfolio.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience facilitating delivery of complex data/analytics/AI initiatives in large organisations or government.
• Strong understanding of agile, hybrid & fit‑for‑purpose delivery methods and sprint ceremonies.
• Experience delivering data science, machine learning, AI, advanced analytics or automation initiatives.
• Familiarity with model development lifecycles, MLOps, responsible AI, AI assurance, data governance or cloud‑based AI delivery.
• Experience supporting proof of concept, pilot or prototype delivery, including transition planning to operations.
• Experience preparing executive‑level reporting, governance artefacts or delivery roadmaps.

Our client, an independent Federal Government agency responsible for implementing and administering the National Disability Insurance Scheme, require the services of a Delivery Lead.

Duties of the Delivery Lead

• Facilitate & coordinate the delivery of data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence & advanced analytics initiatives across the Data Science Hub;
• Work closely with EL1 technical & business stakeholders to support the successful delivery of complex initiatives;
• Support the Portfolio Director, Data Science to manage the delivery portfolio ensuring initiatives are clearly framed, governed & supported.

Skills and Experience Required

• Demonstrated experience facilitating the delivery of complex data, analytics, AI, machine learning, digital or technology initiatives in a large organisation or government context;
• Strong understanding of agile, hybrid & fit‑for‑purpose delivery methods, including the ability to facilitate sprint ceremonies, planning sessions, showcases, retrospectives & backlog refinement;
• Experience delivering data science, machine learning, AI, advanced analytics or automation initiatives (desired)
• Familiarity with model development lifecycles, MLOps, responsible AI, AI assurance, data governance or cloud‑based AI delivery (desired);
• Experience supporting proof of concept, pilot or prototype delivery, including transition planning from experimental work to operational implementation (desired);
• Experience preparing executive‑level reporting, business papers, governance artefacts, delivery roadmaps or senior decision‑making material (desired).
