Job summary

Pinpoint Talent is seeking a Principal Business Analyst to lead BA activities on a major Queensland Government workforce transformation project in Brisbane. You will drive requirements for HR processes, data and operations within a statewide environment and coordinate with stakeholders across the state to ensure effective solutions.

The role reports to the Program Director and focuses on delivering current-state and future-state models, with a contract to June 2027 and potential extensions.

Qualifications

• Experience on large-scale Human Capital Management (HCM) programs or projects.
• Strong business analysis skills: elicitation, process mapping, gap analysis, re-engineering.
• Experience analyzing complex business processes and developing current/future state models.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication across business and technical teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with practical, fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, navigate ambiguity and deliver quality outcomes.
• Experience producing comprehensive documentation and knowledge transfer.

Pinpoint Talent is seeking a highly capable Principal Business Analyst to join a significant Queensland Government workforce transformation project.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a large-scale Workforce Mobility Project focused on streamlining HR processes, improving workforce mobility and enhancing the employee experience across a complex, statewide organisation.

With a contract through to June 2027 and potential extensions, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a major transformation initiative.

The opportunity Reporting to the Program Director, you will lead business analysis activities across the Workforce Mobility Project, working with stakeholders across the state to identify business needs, analyse existing processes and define future-state requirements.

You will play a key role in ensuring business, user, data and operational requirements are clearly understood, documented and translated into practical solutions that improve workforce processes and system efficiencies.

You are an experienced Business Analyst who thrives in complex transformation environments, brings stakeholders together and translates business needs into clear, actionable requirements.

To be successful, you will bring:

• Proven experience working on large-scale Human Capital Management (HCM) programs or projects.
• Strong business analysis skills, including requirements elicitation, process mapping, gap analysis and business process re‑engineering.
• Experience analysing complex business processes and developing current-state and future-state models.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across business and technical teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on practical, fit‑for‑purpose solutions.
• The ability to manage competing priorities, navigate ambiguity and deliver quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
• Experience producing comprehensive documentation and supporting knowledge transfer.

Desirable

Experience with SAP HCM or enterprise HR and workforce management solutions.
