Job summary

Pinpoint Talent is seeking a Principal Business Analyst to lead BA activities on a major Queensland Government workforce transformation project in Brisbane. You will drive requirements for HR processes, data and operations within a statewide environment and coordinate with stakeholders across the state to ensure effective solutions.

The role reports to the Program Director and focuses on delivering current-state and future-state models, with a contract to June 2027 and potential extensions.

Qualifications

• Experience on large-scale Human Capital Management (HCM) programs or projects.
• Strong business analysis skills: elicitation, process mapping, gap analysis, re-engineering.
• Experience analyzing complex business processes and developing current/future state models.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication across business and technical teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with practical, fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, navigate ambiguity and deliver quality outcomes.
• Experience producing comprehensive documentation and knowledge transfer.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder engagement to capture, analyse and document business requirements.
• Analyse current-state and future-state business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and process re-engineering.
• Gather and document business, user, data and operational requirements to inform solution design and functionality.
• Develop high-quality business analysis documentation for diverse stakeholder groups.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to improve process efficiency, solution effectiveness and user experience.
• Provide specialist advice on business processes and enterprise solutions to support informed decision-making.
• Identify process variations, risks and opportunities to improve operational effectiveness.
• Support knowledge transfer and handover activities to build internal capability.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders across a complex, statewide environment to support successful project delivery.
