Job summary

dnata catering & retail is seeking an experienced Pricing Lead to own pricing across a portfolio of airline and third-party customers. Based in Brisbane or Sydney, you will drive pricing strategy, profitability and commercial performance within a leading aviation business.

You will work with Commercial, Sales, Finance, Operations, Procurement and Technology teams to optimise revenue, support tenders and provide recommendations that improve margins and control costs.

Qualifications

• Experience in pricing, costing or commercial analysis is essential
• Industry experience in aviation, catering, manufacturing or other high-volume environments is highly regarded
• Advanced Excel skills with complex datasets
• Understanding of costing, pricing, profitability analysis and financial controls
• Experience supporting tenders, pricing reviews or contract changes

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end pricing activities across an assigned customer portfolio
• Develop and maintain pricing, costing and profitability models
• Support customer tenders, price reviews, contract changes and revenue recovery initiatives
• Analyse commercial performance and identify margin improvement opportunities
• Prepare pricing submissions, customer price lists and profitability reporting
• Apply contractual pricing mechanisms and pricing controls
• Validate and reconcile pricing data across ERP and reporting systems
• Support pricing requirements for system implementations and business initiatives
• Build strong relationships across Commercial, Finance, Operations, Procurement, Technology
• Contribute to pricing governance and best practices

We're looking for an experienced and commercially driven Pricing Lead to join our Commercial team, based in either Sydney or Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of airline and third‑party customers, driving pricing strategy, profitability outcomes and commercial performance within a market‑leading aviation business.

About The Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Pricing and Revenue Optimization, you will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely and commercially sound pricing outcomes across an assigned customer portfolio. You'll manage pricing activities from validated costing inputs through to pricing models, customer price lists, profitability analysis and approval‑ready recommendations.

Working closely with Commercial, Sales, Finance, Operations, Procurement and Technology teams, you'll help identify revenue optimisation opportunities, support customer negotiations and contribute to continuous improvement across pricing processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end pricing activities across an assigned customer portfolio.
• Develop and maintain pricing, costing and profitability models.
• Support customer tenders, price reviews, contract changes and revenue recovery initiatives.
• Analyse commercial performance and identify margin improvement opportunities.
• Prepare pricing submissions, customer price lists and profitability reporting.
• Apply contractual pricing mechanisms, indexation provisions and pricing controls.
• Validate and reconcile pricing data across ERP, reporting and customer systems.
• Support pricing requirements associated with system implementations and business initiatives.
• Build strong relationships across Commercial, Finance, Operations, Procurement, Technology and customer‑facing teams.
• Contribute to process improvements, governance activities and pricing best practice.

About You

You’ll be a commercially minded professional with strong analytical capability and the confidence to manage pricing activities across a diverse customer portfolio.

To Be Successful, You'll Bring

• Experience in pricing, costing or commercial analysis is essential; industry experience in aviation, catering, manufacturing or other high-volume environments is highly regarded.
• Strong experience developing and maintaining pricing, costing or financial models.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to work with complex datasets.
• Sound understanding of costing, pricing, profitability analysis and financial controls.
• Experience supporting tenders, pricing reviews, contract changes or customer pricing activities.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
• Experience with ERP and reporting platforms such as QAD, JDE or Power BI will be advantageous.
