Job summary

ResMed Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the Pressure Systems sub-team in Sydney. You will develop components from concept to production, focusing on performance, manufacturability, and end-user experience.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and build prototypes using additive manufacturing, while conducting rigorous testing and documenting results to meet regulatory requirements. This role offers growth within a health-tech leader.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong CAD experience; Creo preferred.
• Experience in regulated medical devices is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop components considering performance, manufacturability, and end-user experience.
• Apply design requirements for patients, usability, therapy performance, cost, quality, and assembly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of designers and engineers.
• Build and evaluate prototypes using additive manufacturing and hands-on fabrication methods.
• Design and conduct testing including verification and validation to meet requirements.
• Document designs and testing accurately.
• Participate in risk management activities including DFMEA.
• Work within ResMed Quality Management System and regulatory requirements.
