Job summary

ResMed's Moulding Research & Technology Engineering Team is seeking a Senior Engineer, Automation/Mechatronics to lead the exploration and maturation of emerging automation technologies for future manufacturing applications.

You will translate manufacturing challenges into technical concepts, build proofs of concept, develop integrated mechatronic solutions across mechanical systems, robotics, controls, sensing, machine vision, and software, and partner with cross-functional teams to scale

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Robotics or related field.
Significant hands-on experience developing automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing systems.
Strong understanding of integrated mechanical, electrical, control, and sensing systems.
Experience developing prototypes and proof-of-concept equipment.
Experience with PLC, robotic, motion-control, or industrial automation systems.

Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate emerging automation, robotics, sensing, machine vision, and mechatronics technologies for future manufacturing capabilities.
Design and prototype integrated mechatronic systems and automation architectures.
Develop PLC, robotic, motion-control, machine-vision, and data-acquisition solutions.
Maturation of technologies from concept to production-relevant demonstrations.
