Job summary

ResMed Inc in Sydney is seeking a Senior Engineer, Automation/Mechatronics in Research & Technology to lead the exploration and maturation of emerging automation technologies for future manufacturing. You will translate manufacturing challenges into technical hypotheses and develop prototypes spanning mechanical, electrical, sensing, and software domains.

You will move concepts from concept to production-relevant demonstrations, balancing safety, scalability, and manufacturability, while

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Robotics Engineering, or related field.
Significant hands-on experience developing automation, robotics, mechatronic, or advanced manufacturing systems.
Strong understanding of integrated mechanical, electrical, control, and sensing systems.
Experience developing prototypes and proof-of-concept equipment.

Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate emerging automation, robotics, sensing, machine vision, and mechatronics technologies.
Design and build proof-of-concept systems to rapidly test ideas.
Develop automation architectures and modular concepts for cross-product reuse.
Collaborate with product development, tooling, and NPI teams to transition concepts to production.
