Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a presales or solution engineering role with direct customer engagement.
• Solid networking concepts knowledge, CCNA level or higher.
• Experience designing enterprise networking, cloud services (MS 365, Azure, AWS) and cybersecurity solutions (SASE, MDR, EDR).
• Excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales and Engineering to design, price, and propose IT solutions.
• Participate in customer meetings to gather requirements and present proposals.
• Prepare Scope of Work, licensing requirements, and cost estimates.
• Manage presales process from engagement to handover to implementation.
• Create and maintain solution designs, proposals and handover materials.

The client company is seeking a technically skilled and customer-oriented Presales Engineer to support our sales team through customer engagement, requirements gathering, solution design, technical proposals, and pricing support. The primary focus of this role is to propose and design practical IT solutions across enterprise networking, major cloud services such as Microsoft 365, and leading cloud-based cybersecurity solutions, including SASE and MDR offerings.

This position is ideal for professionals who can understand customer requirements, translate them into clear technical solutions, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

[Key Responsibilities]

• Collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams to design, price, and propose IT solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Participate in customer meetings (online and onsite) to gather requirements and present technical proposals.
• Prepare and deliver documentation including Scope of Work, licensing requirements, and cost estimates.
• Manage the presales process from initial customer engagement through solution design, proposal development, pricing, and handover to the implementation team.
• Create and maintain solution designs, technical proposals, Scope of Work documentation, and handover materials for internal teams and customers.
• Provide timely reporting and elevate issues to management as needed.

[Required Skills and Experience]

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a presales or solution engineering role with direct customer engagement.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies, with knowledge and experience equivalent to or exceeding the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) level.
• Practical presales and solution design experience across several of the following areas:
  • Enterprise networking solutions, including LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, routing, switching, and network security
  • Major cloud services, particularly Microsoft 365, including services such as Exchange Online and Intune
  • Public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS
  • Cloud-based cybersecurity solutions, including major SASE, EDR, MDR, firewall, and endpoint security offerings, such as Cato Networks and CrowdStrike
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong documentation and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach to collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and customer needs.

[Language Skills]

• Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English, including the ability to conduct customer meetings, gather technical requirements, explain solutions, and prepare business and technical documentation in both languages.
• The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential.
