Job summary

Melbourne City Lexus is seeking a proactive Workshop Controller to coordinate daily workshop operations in our premium service environment. You will support technicians, allocate work based on skills and workload, and drive on-time completion while upholding high Lexus quality standards.

You will liaise with Service Advisors, Technicians and Parts to ensure a seamless customer experience, maintain safety and drive efficiency. Previous experience in a premium dealership is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Possess strong automotive technical knowledge and diagnostic ability.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy workshop.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership capability to motivate and support a team.
• Experience in premium automotive dealership environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily workshop workflow.
• Allocate repair and servicing jobs to technicians based on skills and workload.
• Monitor progress, productivity and workshop efficiency.
• Ensure vehicles are completed within agreed timeframes and Lexus quality standards.
• Support technicians with technical and workflow-related issues.
• Liaise with Service Advisors on job progress and completion times.
• Conduct quality checks and prepare vehicles for customer collection.
• Assist with diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues as needed.
• Maintain workshop safety, housekeeping and compliance.
• Support Service Manager in achieving department targets.
