seek.com.au seeks a skilled CNC Machinist to join a long-established precision shop in Brisbane. You will set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, read drawings and produce tight tolerances. You'll create and optimize programs (Fanuc, HAAS or similar), select tooling and speeds, and conduct first-off inspections.

• Experience in CNC turning and milling operations.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret tolerances.
• Experience programming in Fanuc or HAAS systems.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills.
• Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs (Fanuc, HAAS or similar).
• Select tooling, fixtures, feeds, and speeds.
• Read engineering drawings and machine to tight tolerances.
• Conduct first-off and in-process inspections.
• Improve cycle times and machining processes.
• Manual machining as required (highly regarded).
