Job summary
HMG Hardchrome Pty Ltd in Pinkenba, QLD, is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist to join our precision workshop. You will program, set up, and operate CNC machines to manufacture high‑quality hydraulic components to tight tolerances.
Ideal candidates have a Trade qualification (Certificate III Engineering) as Fitter Machinist/Toolmaker, plus hands-on experience with CAM software and FANUC or Okuma controls.
Qualifications
- Trade qualification (Certificate III Engineering) as a Fitter Machinist / Toolmaker (or equivalent).
- Proven CNC Programmer/Machinist experience.
- Experience with CAM (MasterCam preferred).
- Experience with FANUC and Okuma controls.
- Ability to read detailed drawings and work to tight tolerances.
- Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machines using machine controls and CAM software
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Carry out fitting, machining, and assembly work as required
- Edit and optimise programs to improve cycle times and product quality
- Conduct quality checks using precision measuring equipment
- Maintain machines, tooling, and a safe, clean work area
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and team members
