Access Covers Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Precast Concrete Leading Hand to join our Queensland production team in Eagle Farm. This hands-on leadership role requires strong expertise in precast concrete, formwork, steel reinforcement and factory production.

You will guide the production team, coordinate workflow, and uphold safety, quality and productivity standards. The position offers a stable, full-time role with early starts, overtime on Saturdays, and immediate commencement for the right

Qualifications

• Experience in precast concrete manufacturing or similar industrial setting.
• Experience as a Leading Hand or in hands-on leadership roles.
• Must hold LF licence and be willing to operate forklifts.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production instructions.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and coordinate daily production activities.
• Provide guidance and support to production team members.
• Prepare and assemble formwork and moulds for concrete production.
• Assist with concrete pours, finishing, patching and repairs.

The Role

As our Precast Concrete Leading Hand, you will take an active role in daily production while supporting the coordination of factory operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading by example and assisting with the coordination of daily production activities

• Providing guidance and support to production employees

• Preparing and assembling formwork and moulds for concrete production

• Assisting with concrete pours, finishing, patching and repairs

• Manufacturing, assembling and positioning steel reinforcement cages

• Reading and interpreting shop drawings, specifications and production plans

• Operating forklifts to safely move materials and finished products

• Assisting with gantry crane operations where appropriately trained and authorised

• Supporting production schedules and ensuring work is completed efficiently

• Monitoring product quality and compliance with manufacturing standards

• Ensuring safe work practices and compliance with WHS procedures

• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe factory environment

• Assisting with welding and fabrication activities where suitably qualified and competent

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in precast concrete manufacturing, concrete production or a similar industrial environment

• Experience as a Leading Hand, senior production employee or in a hands‑on team leadership role

• Current Forklift High Risk Work Licence (LF) – Essential

• Strong practical experience in formwork, concrete placement and steel reinforcement

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production instructions

• Good communication, teamwork and leadership skills

• Ability to coordinate tasks while remaining actively involved in production

• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

• Reliable attendance, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic

• Current driver's licence

Highly Regarded but Not Essential

• Experience operating overhead or gantry cranes

• Current Dogging (DG) High Risk Work Licence

• Relevant rigging qualifications or experience

• Welding and steel fabrication experience

• Previous experience in a precast concrete Leading Hand or supervisory role
