Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Infrastructure in Brisbane to lead the successful delivery of civil infrastructure programs from planning and mobilisation through to delivery and close-out.

You will balance technical, commercial, safety, quality and stakeholder requirements, coordinating planning and execution with industry-leading specialists. The role emphasizes ownership, collaboration, and a focused delivery mindset across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in a Tier 1 or major commercial contractor.
• Background as Pre-Construction Manager, Project Director, Senior Project Manager or equivalent.
• Delivery experience across major and complex building projects.
• Strong capability across design, programme, procurement, methodology, commercial management and risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-delivery and pre-construction across major projects.
• Establish project delivery strategy, construction methodology and master programmes.
• Lead early project planning, staging, logistics and sequencing.
• Drive design development, design management and constructability.
• Develop procurement strategies and identify critical long‑lead packages.
• Lead constructability reviews and value engineering.
• Collaborate with estimating and commercial teams on budgets and risk.
• Identify and mitigate design, programme, procurement and construction risk prior to mobilisation.
• Ensure approvals, documentation, procurement and resources are advanced for construction.
• Establish project governance, reporting and delivery controls.
• Work with Project Directors and Site Managers to form delivery teams.
• Provide senior input into tenders and new project opportunities.
• Manage transition from award through pre‑construction into delivery.
